Full stack Software Engineer

Job Summary of Full Stack Software Engineer:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer within Walmart's Intelligent Store Tech (IST) org, you will focus on building tools to enhance the associate experience during the checkout process. Utilizing open-source technology and a foundational platform architecture, you will contribute to the development of scalable applications that serve Walmart's customers and associates.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Full Stack Software Engineer:

• Engage in full stack development using technologies like React JS, React Native, Java, Spring, Kubernetes, NoSQL, and Kafka.
• Identify and set short- and long-term goals, review proposed solutions, and perform design and code reviews.
• Develop efficient code to automate repetitive or manual tasks.
• Design and develop solutions for large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on observability to ensure all aspects of the applications can be measured.
• Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.

Qualifications and Experience of Full Stack Software Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in software engineering, OR 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies and experience in developing APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native.
• Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Salary:

The aual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes aual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock options.
