Member Specialist

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for maintaining a smooth, efficient, and secure member experience. You’ll provide support in areas such as returns, self-checkout, customer service, and asset security. You will also assist in training new associates and ensuring all procedures are followed to meet company policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain area of responsibility by handling returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Provide excellent member service by reviewing receipts, acknowledging members, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Oversee self-checkout areas, resolve issues, assist with transactions, and provide guidance on self-service technology.
• Help safeguard Sam’s Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activities, executing emergency response procedures, and ensuring security compliance.
• Assist in the training of Member Frontline Service associates on new technologies, tools, and company procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, including the Open Door Policy, to create a safe and compliant work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and management to complete work assignments efficiently while addressing improvement opportunities and adapting to changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum qualifications: Customer service experience or retail experience, including operating front-end equipment like cash registers or working with mobile retail applications.
• Preferred qualifications: Previous experience in customer service or retail, specifically in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.

Salary:

Hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, based on experience and qualifications. Additional premiums may be available for specific work conditions or times.
