Independent Optometrist

Job Summary:

As an Independent Optometrist leasing space within Walmart stores, you will lead in delivering comprehensive eye and vision care while maintaining autonomy in your practice. This role allows you to manage your own schedule, set your fees, and retain all professional fees, offering a unique opportunity to grow your business within the Walmart environment.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage your own practice days and hours, control your patient schedule, and set your fee schedule.
• Provide high-quality eye and vision care, addressing general health and well-being.
• Handle all aspects of patient billing and keep 100% of exam/professional fees.
• Choose to utilize available equipment, instrumentation, and administrative or opt-tech support services (where permitted by state regulations).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school or Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state optometry or ophthalmology license.
• General Liability Certificate, Professional Liability Insurance Certificate, and W-9 form.
• Demonstrated experience in patient care, with a strong focus on eye and vision health.
