Stocker

Job Summary:

As a Walmart Stocker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of merchandise onto the sales floor, ensuring products are readily available for customers. This position involves stocking shelves, assisting with inventory management, providing customer service, and adhering to safety guidelines. You'll collaborate closely with team members to uphold store standards and enhance the shopping experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks.
• Transport items to sales areas and stock shelves according to Walmart’s merchandising standards.
• Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Report discrepancies to management for resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in backroom storage areas.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of merchandise for easy retrieval.
• Assist customers in locating products on the sales floor.
• Provide information about promotions, sales, and store policies.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work collaboratively with team members to accomplish tasks efficiently.
• Support other departments or areas of the store as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
