Job Duties and Responsibilities of Part-Time Cashier:

• Provide customers a friendly and gracious welcome as they approach the checkout counter.
• Aid customers in their search for items, responding to inquiries about products, and guiding them on the store's rules and procedures.
• Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and objections with professionalism, ensuring that they leave the checkout area satisfied.
• With finesse, operate the POS system while handling items with swift scaing techniques, ensuring appropriate coding and accurate pricing.
• Abiding by Walmart's cash handling policy, payments through cash, credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments are processed seamlessly.
• In case of any confusion or discrepancy, seek assistance from the store staff to clarify how to apply the discount correctly.
• Sort and pack your items efficiently and with neatness, taking special care to keep any fragile or perishable items secure in a designated compartment.
• Verify every transaction in the cash drawer during the begiing and end of the shift to balance all the cash transactions.
• Undertake a precise and meticulous count of cash, coins, and checks to ensure that all funds are accounted for.
• Adopting security measures is crucial in preventing theft, and this can include checking for fake cash and carefully observing behavior that appears unusual.
• Stay current with all promotional activities, sales aouncements, and product launches to drive incremental revenue and maximize sales opportunities.
• For customers purchasing a camera, offer bundles that include lenses, cases, and memory cards to provide a complete photography solution.
• Ensure that the checkout zone remains neat, tidy, and uncluttered by frequently disinfecting apparatus and surfaces.
• Employ measures to restock supplies like bags and receipt paper routinely to avoid disruptions in normal business operations.
• Coordinate tasks efficiently with team members and supervisors by promoting effective collaboration and constant communication.
• Help out your team members during busy times to contribute to a positive and cooperative office culture.

Qualifications and Experience of Part-Time Cashier:

• Applicants who hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification are more likely to be shortlisted.
