Job Summary of AI Scientist:

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a competent Full Stack Staff Data Scientist to drive complex AI algorithms' development and deployment aimed at improving the Transportation Applied AI team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of AI Scientist:

• Manage the oversight of sophisticated machine learning models design, execution, and deployment.
• Facilitate collaboration between various teams to ensure that artificial intelligence solutions meet business goals.
• Play a mentoring role in the development of data professionals within the company.
• Upgrade your research and analytical methodologies with the latest developments in machine learning and optimization techniques.
• Evaluate code comprehensively to ensure exceptional engineering quality.

Qualifications and Experience of AI Scientist:

• Potential candidates with a Ph.D. in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, AI, or related fields and at least four years of related experience, or a Master's degree complemented by at least seven years of experience, are encouraged to apply.
• Extensive proficiency in the implementation of state-of-the-art reinforcement learning algorithms, stochastic optimization approaches, and statistical models.
• Ability to proficiently write code using languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Exhibited experience in deploying recommendation models for e-commerce applications.
• For this role, expertise dealing with vast data systems like Hive and Spark and familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure and GCP are necessary.
• Effective communication and leadership create a positive environment where individuals feel appreciated and empowered to grow and develop.
• Having exposure to multi-agent systems, forecasting, ranking algorithms, and supply chain operations would be viewed favorably.

Salary:

The starting salary for this position is within the range of $143,000.00 to $286,000.00 per aum, and successful applicants may also be offered performance-based bonuses and stock options as part of their overall compensation package.
