Job Summary of Assistant Store Manager:

As a Retail Assistant Manager at Walmart, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing teams to ensure operational excellence and exceptional customer service. You will oversee store operations, drive financial performance, and foster a positive work environment that promotes growth and success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Store Manager:

• Lead and develop teams by providing training, coaching, and feedback to associates.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and policies, including the One Best Way service model.
• Manage and support customer service initiatives and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Drive financial performance by monitoring P&L statements, budgeting, and controlling expenses.
• Oversee merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes to achieve sales and profit goals.
• Supervise and develop hourly associates, including hiring, training, and mentoring to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Coordinate job-related activities, build stakeholder relationships, and support business initiatives to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience of Assistant Store Manager:

• Minimum of 2 years of college education; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Completion of job-required trainings and assessments as necessary.
• Ability to meet requirements for positions involving firearms or ammunition sales where applicable.
