UX Design Director

Job Summary:

Walmart is seeking to lead and drive innovation in associate digital experiences. This role will focus on designing AI-driven, consumer-grade tools that enhance the employee experience across Walmart’s global operations. The position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and expertise in enterprise UX design to create seamless and impactful digital solutions for Walmart’s 2.1 million associates.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive UX design strategy for enterprise-wide digital employee experiences.
• Lead and mentor a team of designers to deliver world-class solutions for associates across multiple business segments.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, and product teams to align design vision with organizational goals.
• Ensure the development of consumer-grade, intuitive, and visually engaging enterprise applications.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles, making complex workflows simple and efficient.
• Drive design research, prototyping, and testing to optimize user experiences.
• Lead design sprints, workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
• Maintain alignment with accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusivity.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Business, Communications, Fine Arts, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product design, UX, or related areas.
• 3+ years of experience in building and leading high-performing design teams.
• Proven track record of shipping high-impact, high-visibility products in fast-paced environments.
• Expertise in enterprise UX design, human-centered design, and systems thinking.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in UI/UX tools, prototyping, and design research methodologies.

Salary:

• Annual salary range: $130,000 - $260,000.
• Additional compensation includes performance-based bonuses and stock options.
