Job Summary of Cashier & Front End Services:

You play a major role in shaping the customer experience at Walmart, as you may be the first, last, and sometimes only associate they interact with. This makes it essential to greet every customer with a smile and a positive attitude. As an ambassador of Walmart, you’ll ensure customers have an exceptional experience during every visit.

The pace can be intense, particularly during evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons, requiring multitasking such as scanning items, explaining prices, bagging items, counting cash, and maintaining a clean work area. A positive attitude, passion for customer service, and the ability to handle multiple tasks will set you up for success in this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Cashier & Front End Services:

Cashier:

• Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude.
• Stand for long periods while checking out customers quickly and accurately.
• Keep your area clean and presentable.
• Answer customer questions and assist with their needs.
• Help other associates across the store as needed.

Cart and Janitorial:

• Ensure customers have a great first and last impression of the store.
• Gather carts from the parking lot.
• Operate equipment to transport carts inside the store.
• Clean restrooms, salesfloor, and parking lot as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions.

Salary:

• Hourly wage range: $15.00 to $26.00.
• Additional compensation through premiums ($0.35 to $3.00 per hour) based on work conditions and performance.
