Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

Walmart Supply Chain is seeking a dedicated Freight Handler for a key role in our distribution network. Candidates must live at least 60 miles away from the facility to qualify for the travel rate. This position is essential in ensuring the efficient movement of products to our stores, requiring physical stamina and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately handle, load, unload, and process freight to maintain efficient flow through the distribution facility.
• Operate freight handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage high volumes of freight in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
• Report any unsafe conditions, damaged products, or procedural issues to management.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of freight, meeting or exceeding productivity expectations.
• Collaborate with team members and management to optimize operational processes and address any issues.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall team and operational goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, and work in extreme climate conditions.
• Previous experience in a freight handling or logistics role is advantageous but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, dynamic environment with high productivity demands.

Salary:

• Hourly Wage Range: $14.45 to $28.65.
• Additional Compensation: Performance-based incentives and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, depending on specific circumstances.
