Pharmacist

Job Summary:

As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you will be a key player in our commitment to enhancing community health. Positioned at the forefront of patient interactions, you will leverage your clinical expertise to provide exceptional care and guidance. You will be responsible for not only dispensing medications but also for fostering strong relationships with patients and leading a dedicated pharmacy team. Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide comprehensive counseling to patients regarding medication use and health conditions.
• Administer immunizations and manage other health services in alignment with Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Actively participate in community outreach programs and wellness events to promote health awareness and engagement.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including inventory control, cost management, and adherence to company policies.
• Mentor and support pharmacy staff in best practices for customer service and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards through rigorous documentation and process management.
• Maintain and protect patient confidentiality while ensuring all practices meet local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety and quality assurance reviews, implementing corrective action plans as needed.
• Foster a culture of transparency and accountability regarding error reporting and process improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers to enhance service delivery and address community health needs.
• Utilize data and feedback to continually improve pharmacy services and patient satisfaction.
• Lead initiatives to address emerging health issues and adapt services to meet evolving community needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
• Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program.
• Active Pharmacy license required by the start date.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting with demonstrated expertise in medication management and patient care.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively guide a pharmacy team.

Salary:

• Aual salary range of $98,000.00 - $172,000.00 for a 40-hour workweek. Adjustments apply for different schedules. Additional compensation includes performance-based bonuses.
