Job Summary of Backroom Associate:

The backbone of Walmart's distribution center or warehouse is its Warehouse Associates, who play a vital role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Backroom Associate:

• The use of forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks can facilitate the process of unloading trucks.
• Catalog received items in the inventory system and distribute them to their designated storage locations.
• Maintain precise inventory records through frequent cycle counts and accurate reconciliations.
• Follow set safety and space utilization guidelines to organize and store merchandise in a way that maximizes space while ensuring safety.
• Your main task is to monitor the inventory levels and alert the supervisors regarding any shortages or discrepancies.
• Accomplish order requests by retrieving merchandise from shelves or storage bins as indicated by pick tickets or electronic orders.
• Proper packaging and preparation are essential when shipping merchandise to ensure completeness and proper condition upon delivery.
• Label each package with shipping information and any other necessary documentation.
• Expedite the delivery of goods to designated Walmart outlets or end-users by conscientiously preparing shipments in a timely and efficient maer.
• Load items onto shipping containers or trucks with the assistance of suitable techniques and tools.
• Work together with the logistics staff to establish schedules for pickups and deliveries.
• It is essential to follow safety procedures to avoid accidents and establish a secure workplace.
• Operating warehouse equipment with regard to safety while maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
• Make sure to comply with the safety, security, and regulatory policies established by the company to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
