Job Summary of Checkout Clerk:

As a Checkout Clerk at Walmart, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling transactions, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring a clean and organized checkout area. Whether working as a Cashier or part of the Cart and Janitorial team, you play a crucial role in representing Walmart and enhancing the shopping experience for customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Checkout Clerk:

• Greet customers warmly and maintain a positive attitude throughout their visit.
• Scan merchandise efficiently, ensure transaction accuracy, and assist with customer concerns.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience across the store.
• Collect shopping carts and maintain cleanliness in parking areas, restrooms, and sales floors.
• Safely operate equipment for cart transportation and uphold store appearance standards.

Qualifications and Experience of Checkout Clerk:

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous retail experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions for Cart and Janitorial roles.
