Job Summary of Maintenance Operator:

Your responsibility as a Maintenance team member at Walmart is to maintain and repair equipment and building facilities in the Distribution Center. Using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) will assist you in managing and documenting all operations. A strong focus on safety and a keen eye for details is required in this physically demanding role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Operator:

• Proactively seek out opportunities for optimization and improvement in the maintenance and repair of material handling and building equipment.
• Utilize established policies and procedures to renew the operational status of equipment using proper methods.
• Interpret technical diagrams, like blueprints and schematics, to proficiently preserve and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot sophisticated equipment problems that may not be easily fixable, requiring outside expertise and iovative solutions.
• Offer support to the facility by working in tandem with operations and other technicians.
• The use of CMMS technology is critical for efficient workload management, allowing for the easy recording and tracking of work orders, asset history, and inventory usage.
• Communicate with an open mind, respecting different viewpoints, acknowledging and addressing discrepancies or misunderstandings to avoid miscommunication.
• Utilize powered equipment and battery-powered machinery to increase efficiency.
• Undertake regular checkups and repair tasks on different machines and appliances to comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience of Maintenance Operator:

• Applicants should possess a background in industrial maintenance, with a particular focus on electronic technology. A minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent certification or coursework is required.
• The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in either industrial refrigeration or HVAC, and a steadfast commitment to obtaining and keeping all required certifications.

Salary:

• Within the spectrum of hourly salaries lies the range of $15.60 to $43.40.
