Job Duties and Responsibilities of Inventory Control Specialist:

• Receive and double-check the shipment arrivals, thoroughly inspecting the quantities and examining each item for any physical impairments.
• Forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks are all useful for unloading vehicles such as trucks.
• Utilize the inventory system to document receipt of new merchandise and assign them to their designated storage spaces.
• Regularly perform cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory records remain precise.
• Arrange merchandise in a way that ensures it is easy to access, while also maintaining space efficiency and safety.
• Be vigilant in observing the inventory levels and immediately report any discrepancies or shortages to the supervisors for necessary action.
• Execute product requests by retrieving merchandise from shelves or storage containers as specified by electronic orders or pick tickets.
• Packing and preparing merchandise for shipping is important to guarantee completeness and proper packaging.
• Indicate shipping details on each package by applying the corresponding labels.
• Prepare packages for dispatch to Walmart stores or customers, making certain that all processes are carried out accurately and on schedule.
• Load items onto shipping containers or trucks with the assistance of suitable techniques and tools.
• Coordinate with the logistics department to plan the required pickups and deliveries.
• Safety protocols should be strictly adhered to in order to prevent mishaps and ensure a safe working environment.
• The safe and proper use of warehouse equipment while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Make sure to comply with the safety, security, and regulatory policies established by the company to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.

Qualifications and Experience of Inventory Control Specialist:

• An equivalent or high school diploma is desirable but not mandatory.
• Candidates who possess previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a relevant discipline are in a favourable position.
• Possessing expertise in handling equipment typically used in warehouses like forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks is preferred.
• Skilled at lifting and conveying hefty loads, as well as flexing the body, bowing, and maintaining a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Showing a high level of focus and accuracy when dealing with merchandise and stock control.
• Proficient in executing tasks through excellent organization and time management.
• Aptitude to work solo or with others in a fast-changing and active setting.
