Job Summary of Merchandise Stocker:

As a Walmart Stocker, your primary goal is to ensure the smooth flow of products onto the sales floor, so customers can easily access the items they need. You can achieve this by stocking shelves, overseeing inventory, providing customer support, and following the safety protocols. Collaborating with your team members will be crucial to maintain store hygiene and service quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Merchandise Stocker:

• Remove goods offloaded from the delivery trucks.
• Implement Walmart’s merchandising standards by transferring products to assigned areas for sale and organizing them on shelves in an orderly fashion.
• Perform consistent inventory audits to keep track of current stock levels and maintain accurate records.
• Notify management of any discrepancies found to ensure they are addressed in a timely maer.
• Ensure that the backroom storage areas are systematically organized and spotless.
• Ensure that merchandise is stored and labeled correctly to simplify the retrieval process.
• Help customers navigate the sales area to locate the products they need.
• Sales are another way to save money on items. In many cases, stores will have seasonal sales where they offer deep discounts on select merchandise.
• Maintaining safety procedures helps to create a secure and healthy work atmosphere.
• Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Enhancing productivity through teamwork and coordinated efforts.
• Offer support to any department or zone of the store as required.

Qualifications and Experience of Merchandise Stocker:

• Individuals with a high school diploma or an equivalent degree are preferred.
• Retail experience in the past can prove to be favorable.
• Capability to hoist weighty objects and conduct arduous responsibilities.
• Adept at scrutinizing the small details and skilled in organizing them effectively.
