Associate Optometrist - Walmart

As an Associate Optometrist, you will collaborate with the Vision Center Manager to advance affordable eyecare for all. You will play a crucial role in delivering evidence-based vision care and fostering strong patient relationships. Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based vision care, including prescribing medications and recommending treatments such as LASIK and cataract surgeries.
• Deliver routine eye exams and manage eye health conditions following established care guidelines.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health, contact lens care, disease management, and safety precautions.
• Embrace and effectively use advanced optical equipment and technology, including digital phoropters, EMR, and Maestro OCT/retinal camera systems.
• Stay current on advancements in optical procedures and instrumentation to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
• Observe and adhere to the optometry scope of practice as defined by state regulations and board standards.
• Ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards for optical procedures, including prescriptions, claims, and associate training.
• Monitor and guide optical operations to align with company policies and maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and managing ocular diseases.
• Proven ability to integrate and utilize advanced optical technology and instrumentation.
• Strong judgment skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and analyze business trends.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to creating an exceptional patient experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships within the community.

Salary:

• The aual salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $200,000.00, with additional compensation including aual or quarterly performance bonuses. Further compensation may be adjusted based on Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Sales Volume Category (SVC), and Complex Structure factors.
