Job Summary of Fresh Food Stocker:

The role of a Meat/Produce Associate at Walmart is vital in ensuring that the Fresh section is always fully stocked, products are rotated to maintain freshness, and food safety standards are met at all times. Additionally, the Associate will need to transfer incoming merchandise to the sales floor and ensure that Fresh displays are maintained throughout the day.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Fresh Food Stocker:

• Transfer the incoming merchandise to the area designated for customer purchases.
• It is essential to keep the exhibits in proper order and freshness by regularly maintaining them.
• The practice of rotating items routinely is crucial to ensuring their optimal quality and preventing spoilage.
• Comply with industry regulations and guidelines to prevent food safety incidents and outbreaks.
• Assist with the maintenance of inventory levels in the Fresh section to ensure that customers have a good selection of items.

Qualifications and Experience of Fresh Food Stocker:

• Experience in a retail or grocery setting is preferred over other backgrounds.
• Proper food handling practices can help prevent foodborne illness. This includes storing, cooking, and serving food at the right temperature, as well as correctly labeling and dating food to minimize the risk of spoilage.
• Dexterity in moving and conveying weighty goods.
• Proficiency in exhibiting exceptional attention to detail skills with a keen organizational aptitude.
