Food/Consumables Team Supervisor

Job Summary:

You will play an essential role in supporting the store’s daily operations, especially in maintaining inventory levels and providing exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and restocking food and consumable goods, building creative seasonal displays, and helping customers find the products they need. This position allows you to be an integral part of a team that focuses on the effective presentation of products while delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

• Move incoming food and consumable merchandise to the salesfloor, ensuring all items are clearly labeled, organized, and displayed properly.
• Create seasonal and promotional displays to enhance the shopping experience and meet customer needs.
• Assist customers with locating food and consumable products, answer questions, and offer product recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department, ensuring that products are in good condition and properly stored.
• Work closely with other team members to replenish stock and maintain store standards.
• Help customers navigate the store and provide assistance with their shopping lists.
• Follow safety and food handling procedures as per company standards.
• Contribute to the achievement of department sales goals by proactively assisting customers and managing stock levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, especially in food or consumables.
• Basic knowledge of food products and the ability to assist customers in selecting the right items.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that involve lifting and stocking merchandise.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to keep products in order and displays attractive.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
