Job Summary of Distribution Manager:

The Logistics Operations Manager at Walmart is in charge of creating and executing a business strategy that enables the facility to achieve objectives related to production, quality, and safety. Financial management, ensuring compliance with protocols, and supervising employees to drive operational improvements are also responsibilities of this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Manager:

• Interact and correspond with people professionally, using verbal communication or writing modes like letters, reports, or phone calls.
• Establish and execute an action-oriented plan that supports facility goals and sets the stage for performance improvements.
• Calculate and manage staffing demands, workload levels, and performance results to meet the requirements of the organization.
• Be in charge of ensuring the financial stability of the business by keeping track of expenses, monitoring asset utilization, and creating regular financial reports.
• Keep quality and safety regulations in check by maintaining appropriate procedures and necessary documentation.
• Responsibly handle and resolve concerns from associates, customers, and suppliers by utilizing your own judgement or seeking advice from others as necessary.
• Represent the company by being a part of community organizations and promoting the organization's initiatives, events, and activities.
• Govern and oversee associates and managers by furnishing direction, feedback, and training opportunities.
• Monitor and enforce company policies and procedures while also participating in the recruitment, training, and assessment of staff members.

Qualifications and Experience of Distribution Manager:

• Attaining a four-year degree in a Business-related program, such as Business Administration, Management, or Logistics, is a prerequisite for this position.
• The preferred candidate for this role should have a background of a minimum of 2 years in a senior management position within logistics, operations, or distribution, or as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager.
• The ideal candidate should possess 4 years of experience in a senior management position in a similar environment.
• One must fulfill all compulsory job training and evaluation activities.

Salary:

The salary bracket for this job lies between $89,500 and $192,500 aually

To supplement regular pay, employees can earn extra income through aual or quarterly bonuses based on their performance. Other forms of supplemental compensation may include regional variations in pay or the opportunity to earn stock options.
