Pharmacy Tech Sam's

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Sam’s Club. In this role, you will assist in the pharmacy operations by processing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and providing exceptional service to our members. You will also be responsible for assisting pharmacists with prescription fulfillment and handling related paperwork while ensuring that the pharmacy meets state, federal, and corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Operate cash registers and related hardware for member purchases.
• Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy, including stocking, rotating, and securing merchandise.
• Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, completing required documentation.
• Resolve issues in the prescription fulfillment process and assist in third-party insurance claims.
• Assist in prescription data entry, including reading and transcribing prescriptions into the pharmacy software system.
• Fill prescriptions accurately by measuring, labeling, and dispensing medications.
• Provide patient/member service by acknowledging their needs, initiating the prescription process, and answering questions.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations during prescription pick-up.
• Collaborate with team members to meet business goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including age, registration, and certification when necessary.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) within 9 months of employment.

Salary:
Hourly wage range: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, or specific duties (ranging from $0.35 - $3.00 per hour).
