Job Summary of Facility Technician:

As a Maintenance team member at Walmart's Distribution Center, you will be tasked to carry out repairs and maintain equipment and the building while paying attention to detail. The Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) will assist you in ensuring that each task is accurately tracked and carried out effectively. As this role is physically demanding, maintaining a strong safety focus is of utmost importance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Facility Technician:

• Conduct regular safety checks on all material handling and building equipment to ensure that they are compliant with relevant regulations.
• Restore equipment to operational status by strictly adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
• Decipher technical illustrations, such as blueprints and schematics, to accurately repair and maintain machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complicated equipment issues that require an analytical mindset and a wealth of technical knowledge.
• Partner with operations and other technicians to offer aid to the facility.
• By utilizing CMMS technology, workload management can be streamlined through the recording and tracking of work orders, asset history, and inventory usage.
• Provide opportunities for feedback and actively listen to responses to ensure that your message is being conveyed effectively and understood.
• Utilize powered machinery and material handling equipment to carry out work duties.
• Conduct recurring routine maintenance tasks and repair activities on different equipment categories to improve their reliability and safety.

Qualifications and Experience of Facility Technician:

• Candidates must have previous experience in industrial maintenance with a particular focus on electronic technology. A minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent certification or coursework is preferred.
• The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC, and a demonstrated commitment to obtaining and maintaining all required certifications.

Salary:

• The hourly rate of pay is between $15.60 and $43.40.
• The extra compensation package includes yearly or quarterly bonuses for exceptional accomplishments, coupled with variable premiums that could be anywhere from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, depending on certain circumstances.
